Shams DCP, Reem Island

Shams Abu Dhabi is the largest development on Reem Island. ADC procured and constructed the main district cooling plant serving the whole development — 57,000 TR of plant capacity with a 19,800 m³ thermal energy storage tank adding 9,000 TR at peak.

The 22 kV intake and 49 MW of electrical distribution were delivered by ADC's own electrical team. The plant was handed over in 18 months and operated by ADC under a two-year O&M term.
